How much money do computer game ideas sell for on average?
Q. Ok, I have an awesome idea for a computer game. It is similar to another game but has a different moral, role play, atmosphere, and etc. The game it is based off of is a smash hit, it sells millions. Mine seems like it would be a REALLY good game. I already thought everything out, I just don't know if I want to go through with it. So how much would a fairly good computer game IDEA sell for to a large corp.?

A. You can take your design in and ask for a contract that gets you a certain percent of whatever amount of money they make from your game total. For example, the company made 100 million dollars and you would get 10 million if you signed a 10% contract. I'm not sure how much is resonable for a one time deal sorry.

How do I install my computer game on to a different disk drive?
Q. I'm trying to install a Nancy Drew computer game on to my disk drive E instead of having it on drive C. I don't have enough space on drive C to install it. How would I do this? I can't seem to figure it out, whenever I try to install it on the other drive, a pop-up window just comes up and says I don't have enough space on drive C. *I'm not a computer expert at all.
Asked by erinny2000 - Sun Sep 28 18:31:42 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. During the installation it should ask where you want to install it. And usually it would have something like the following: C:\program files\nancy drew\ Or something like that ^^^ So all you need to do is change that to E:\ Then it should install onto the E: Drive If it doesn't let you choose where to install it then maybe you should just free up some space on the C: Drive.

What is the old computer game set in a castle/dungeon?
Q. I would have played it in 1993 on an old computer. It would have been on a large floppy disk. The premise of the game was searching through a dungeon for a girl or a treasure. I know the character was a boy, but it is possible that you could have been a girl as well. I think that you were picking up flowers along the way or some other odd items. Also, you could turn into a butterfly at some point. I think turning into the butterfly was a good thing (not dying) possibly from picking up enough rewards along the way. Thanks.

What computer game to get for girlfriend?
Q. My girflfriend is many times disorganized and forgetful, and doesn't plan well in advance logistical things. I came up with the idea that she play some computer game to help strenghten some of these muscles that she doesn't usually exercises. I wonder if you can recommend some computer games (or other options I haven't thought about) that would be attractive and engaging for a non-tech-savvy 28 y.o. girl. Thanks!

How does one put a computer game stored on hard drive onto a disk?
Q. I am a computer novice. I would like to know how one takes a computer game/program and copies it to a disc. Also when i do copy it to a disk, how do I install it onto another computer? May I simply pop in the disk, select the correct drive and then enter install into the RUN command screen? Will the "auto install" function take over when I pop such a disc into my computer as software from the store does? I no longer have the original disc so it is imperative that I get the game off of the computer onto a disc in installable form. Thanks very much to the computer whiz's who help me. P.S. Links to explanations of such a procedure would be greatly appreciated.

A. You can make an iso image of a cd, which allows you to use a program like alcohol 120% to make your computer think its a real cd, in a real cdrom. you can also download the iso images directly offline with bittorrent.

A. Not all games support playing in a windowed mode. But you might try pressing Alt+Enter while the Game is running. Make sure the game has a smaller resolution than your desktop screen. If nothing happens, then the game can only be played fullscreen.

There are some different versions of this, and she has Champion Dreams First to Ride: Very focused on jumping. She's played it so much I can hear the music in my sleep! This is definitely a great jumping game for her age. Horse Farm -- which is a broader game more focused on building stables, having foals etc. If you do get this one, look at her site below for the "cheat." I don't like that term, but it's the only way to play that game without getting totally frustrated. Saddle Club is also an interesting game but tricky. It's a simulation where you mount your… [cont.]

What effect will a low processor speed have on a computer game?
Q. I REALLY want the sims 3 but apparently my processor speed is to low. It needs a P4 @ 2.4 GHz and I have a Core 2 Duo @ 2.00 GHz. My video card is fine, I have 3 GB of RAM (need 1 GB), but I guess the processor isn't good enough! What effect will playing the game have on my computer/game?

A. I had the exact same problem. My processor speed is also 2.00 GHz and it runs the game just fine. Well, you should be fine, loading and saving will take a bit longer, and if too many sims are on screen at once it could get laggy, but you should be fine.

What do the white dots in the computer game of Hearts mean?
Q. When you open the computer game hearts (the one that comes with Microsoft computers), it shows you the 4 hands of cards - yours face up and your opponents face down. All of the opponents have 3 white dots on their hands of cards. What does this mean? I thought it showed how many of each suit they had but, on counting it doesn't work. What do the dots mean?

A. They are the cards they have chosen to pass. So if you get one of their left most you will most likely get a low club. And if you get a rightmost a heart.
